April 15 , 2008 — The Little League fields have been open since March 8, 2008 and are in full use for the season. Construction of the entire project is making excellent progress and the features of the future sports complex and park facilities are more evident every day. The park is steadily evolving from concept to reality.
The new contours graded into the complex have created Fountain Valley’s first range if hills. With the footprint of the new ball fields graded and the backstop fence poles, backstops, bleachers and bleacher walls erected, it is easy to grasp a realistic feel for the future sports activities and benefits this complex will offer the public for years to come.

Since the March 8th opening of the Little League facilities, construction efforts are focused on completing the remainder of the park. The new concession buildings and maintenance building are nearing completion. New roads and parking lots are being graded and made ready for paving, new sports field lighting has gone up, improvements around the recreation building have started and more landscaping implemented every day. Everyone involved in the construction process anxiously awaits for the day the facility can be opened to the public and the games can begin. |
