YOUTH BASKETBALL AND MINIMITE BASKETBALL
SUMMER 2008 REGISTRATION
Are you looking for someplace your child can play basketball? Look no further, the Recreation and Community Services Division offers a basketball program for children born 1994-2002. Games are played on Friday evenings (6pm-9pm) and Saturdays (9am-3pm). The league will begin on Friday; June 27, 2008 and end on Saturday; August 1, 2008. This program is open children born 1994-2002 of all skill levels.
Registration:
Registration begins on Monday April; 7, 2008 and will end on Saturday, May 17, 2008. Participants must provide a copy of their birth certificate at time of registration.
League Divisions:
Coed “A” Division--------------Born 1994-1995-----games played at the Recreation Center
Coed “B” Division--------------Born 1996-1997-----games played at the Recreation Center
Coed “C” Division--------------Born 1998-1999-----games played at the Recreation Center
Coed “Mini-Mite” Division---Born 2000-2002---Outdoor courts adjacent to the Recreation Center
Fees: $60/ participant
MINI-MITES:
This program is a clinic-style approach to youth basketball that stresses the FUNdamentals of basketball that concludes with a full scale scrimmage the last week. Junior sized basketballs & 8 foot goals are used. Outdoor courts adjacent to the Recreation center will be used for this division.

PAID YOUTH BASKETBALL OFFICIALS
Fountain Valley Recreation & Community Services Division is recruiting youth basketball officials to referee games for our youth basketball program. If you understand basketball, enjoy youth and want to earn some extra spending money, this job is for YOU! The schedule is approximately 8-10 hours per week on Friday evenings and all day Saturdays from January through March and June through August each year. Minimum age is 16 years old.

VOLUNTEER YOUTH BASKETBALL COACHES NEEDED
Fountain Valley Community Services Division is recruiting volunteers to coach teams from June 21, 2007 through August 1, 2008. Games are Friday evenings and/or Saturdays with practices limited to twice a week with a maximum of 4 hours per week. If you want to help our youth and enjoy basketball please call (714) 839-8611.
