Welcome to the City of Fountain Valley Building and Safety Department!
The Building Department counter is open 8am - 5pm Monday thru Friday with the exception of legal Holidays. The Building Official is available at the counter daily for assistance and for plans requiring over-the-counter review from 8-11am. The City of Fountain Valley has adopted the following codes: the 2007 editions of the California Building Code, Fire Code, Plumbing, Mechanical, and Electrical, as well as the 2000 Editions of the Uniform Solar Energy Code and the Uniform Swimming Pool, Spa and Hot Tub Code.
