Overview of the City Clerk's Office

The City Clerk's Office has a wide range of responsibilities and duties that are provided on a daily basis. In addition to maintaining and preserving accurate records of actions taken by the City Council and Successor Agency to the Fountain Valley Agency for Community Development, the City Clerk is also charged with:

Maintaining the Municipal Code
Administering special and general municipal elections
Coordinating and administering all activities of Council meetings in compliance with the Brown Act and related Statutes
Administering the City wide Records Management Program
Accepting applications for Council appointed Committee, Commissions and Boards
Ensuring compliance with the Political Reform Act of AB 1234
