The City Clerk's Office is committed to providing courteous and professional service to the public, City Council, and city staff in an efficient and effective manner. 

Overview of the City Clerk's Office

The City Clerk's Office has a wide range of responsibilities and duties that are provided on a daily basis.  In addition to maintaining and preserving accurate records of actions taken by the City Council and Fountain Valley Agency for Community Development, the City Clerk is also charged with:

 

CLAIMS OF DAMAGES

Citizens wishing to file a claim against the City for damages caused to their person or property, must fill out a Notice of Claim Form and submit to the City Clerks Office.  Claims may be submitted in person at the public counter or by fax to 714-593-4551. Claims are processed and investigated by the City's third party claims adminstrator. 

PUBLIC RECORDS REQUESTS

The public may request certain records from the City of Fountain Valley pursuant to the California Public Records Act. To request records the public may visit or call the City Clerk's office, or complete a Public Records Request Form. This form is not mandatory, but is available as a convenience.
