Acquisition and Development of a Land Site for the Purpose of Providing Affordable Housing
The Fountain Valley Agency for Community Development (Agency) is pleased to issue a Request for Proposals (RFP) for the development of affordable workforce housing on an Agency owned 3.9 acre site (APN # 169-211-050). The Agency is looking for innovative and experienced developers that can bring a project to completion on time and on budget. The Agency will be seeking developers that are experienced in the field of affordable housing.
The Agency envisions a two-phase developer selection process. It is the Agency’s intent to move quickly in choosing the preferred developer. Factors to be considered in this first phase include development experience, references, financial capability, design of the project and proposed project benefit to the Agency and community.
In the second phase of request for proposals, the Agency will invite those developers submitting the most favorable proposals to present their economic and design proposals to the Agency in order to select the developer that appears to be the most capable of making the project a success.
Due to recently enacted City Hall closure schedule, CITY HALL WILL BE CLOSED ON FRIDAY, OCTOBER 23, 2009. Therefore, the deadline for submittal of developer's proposals has been extended to Monday, October 26, 2009 at 4:00 p.m..
