Projects TI363 and TI612
Public Works Department is about to embark on one of the biggest paving projects in the City's recent history. Projects TI363 and TI612 are necessary to maintain a smooth riding surface after years of weathering and continual use.
Construction is tentatively scheduled to begin Monday, June 2, 2008, and is scheduled to be completed by late October 2008, subject to weather delays and other unforeseen conditions. Work will not be scheduled on weekends or holidays. Several traffic lanes may be closed at any given time; however, there will be at least one lane open to traffic at all times. Work hours will be from 7:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m., and lane closure hours will be from 7:00 a.m. – 4:00 p.m.
The City has scheduled the street rehabilitation and resurfacing projects for the following locations:

Northbound - The contractor shall maintain three (3) lanes of travel between the hours of 4:00 PM and 8:30 AM and may reduce to one (1) lane of travel between the hours of 8:30 AM and 4:00 PM.
Southbound - The contractor shall maintain three (3) lanes of travel between the hours of 4:00 PM and 7:00 AM and may reduce to one (1) lane of travel between the hours of 7:00 AM and 4:00 PM.

Talbert Avenue
Bushard Street to Brookhurst Street

Eastbound - The contractor shall maintain two (2) lanes of travel between the hours of 4:00 PM and 8:30 PM and may reduce to one (1) lane of travel between the hours of 8:30 AM and 4:00 PM.
Westbound - The contractor shall maintain two (2) lanes of travel between the hours of 4:00 PM and 7:00 AM and may reduce to one (1) lane of travel between the hours of 7:00 AM and 4:00 PM.

Ellis Avenue
Bushard Street to I-405 southbound ramps/Euclid Street.

Eastbound - The contractor shall maintain two (2) lanes of travel between the hours of 4:00 PM and 8:30 AM and may reduce to one (1) lane of travel between the ours of 8:30 AM and 4:00 PM.
Westbound - The contractor shall maintain two (2) lanes of travel between the hours of 4:00 PM and 7:00 AM and may reduce to one (1) lane of travel between the hours of 7:00 AM and 4:00 PM.

While the project has been planned to minimize impacts to the traveling public, some construction impacts and inconvenience cannot be avoided. As with any major construction project, expect long traffic delays and temporary lane closures. Motorists are highly encouraged to use alternate routes during peak travel time. The City asks for the public’s cooperation and consideration while construction is underway. Please drive carefully through the construction zones.
