His duties include the management of the of the operation and maintenance of the City’s public infrastructure which includes public streets, sidewalks, curbs, gutters, signs, traffic delineation and markings, and graffiti abatement; park and median maintenance, and the City’s urban forest; the City’s potable water system and wastewater system; the City’s fleet of nearly 200 vehicles and equipment and 12 City owned public buildings. Bob started his career with the City in 1975 and prior to becoming the Field Services Manager, Bob held the positions of Project Coordinator, Assistant Civil Engineer, Engineering Aide I, II and III, Equipment Operator I and Maintenance Worker II with the City. Over the years Bob has been involved in the development and Public Works’ construction inspection for such facilities as Callens’ Corner I & II, Talbert Medical Center, Fountain Valley Hospital expansion, Orange Coast Memorial Hospital and parking structure, Southpark (Costco) and numerous commercial, industrial and residential developments. Bob taught for 15 years as an adjunct instructor for Santiago Canyon College in the Public Works and Water Utility Science program. |

Steve, a graduate of the California Polytechnic University, Pomona brings over 18 years of public service to the Fountain Valley community. His multifaceted role with the City helps protect our community’s important environmental resources by ensuring our regulatory compliance with a myriad of county, state and federal environmental programs. Steve also provides administrative program support for the Public Works Department, is a member of the City’s Disaster Preparedness Committee, and serves as the City’s liaison to the City’s franchised waste disposal company. |

Cuauhtemoc (Temo) R. Galvez, P.E.

Mr. Galvez is a graduate of the University of California, Irvine and a California Licensed Professional Civil Engineer who brings to the City over eleven years of private and public civil engineering experience. Mr. Galvez oversees the Civil and Traffic Engineering Division of the Public Works Department and serves as the City’s liaison to the Traffic Advisory Committee. Mr. Galvez also serves on several technical advisory groups with agencies including OCTA and Caltrans where he represents the City’s interests on a wide range of regional transportation policy related topics.
