Mr. Schuck is a Public Works professional with 25 years of experience in municipal government. Mr. Schuck’s professional background includes parks maintenance, facilities maintenance, fleet maintenance, utility maintenance and service contract management. Mr. Schuck has extensive project design and construction management experience including new construction and rehabilitation of municipal parks, government buildings, streets, and utilities. Dale manages the General Services Division of the Public Works Department which includes Fleet Maintenance, Government Buildings, Parks & Landscape Maintenance, Street Maintenance, and maintenance of the Fountain Valley Recreation Center and Sports Park.

Mr. Sprague brings with him over 12 years of dedicated utilities professional experience. He started his career with the city in 2006 and he has held positions including Water System Operator, Water Supervisor and ultimately promoting to his current position as Utilities Manger. As Utilities Manager, he is responsible for the management, operations and maintenance of the City’s water, storm drain and sewer systems.
Mr. Sprague holds degrees with Majors in both Water Distribution and in Water Treatment. He is certified by the State of California as a Water Distribution Operator Grade 5 and Water Treatment Operator Grade 3 and by the California Water Environment Association as a Sewer Collection System Maintenance Grade 2 and by the American Water Works Association as a Cross-Connection Control Program Specialist. His priority is to keep the City of Fountain Valley’s water, sewer and storm drain systems compliant with all federal and state standards. Mr. Sprague is also the City’s liaison to the Orange County Water District (OCWD), Municipal Water District of Orange County (MWDOC), and the Poseidon Desalination Project where he protects the City’s interest on a variety of regional water, water treatment, water quality and water supply related issues.

Mr. Galvez is a graduate of the University of California, Irvine and is a California Licensed Professional Engineer who brings to the City over 15 years of private sector and municipal civil engineering experience. Mr. Galvez serves as the manager of the Engineering Division of the Public Works Department which includes the City’s Capital Improvement Program, Sewer Rehabilitation Program, Traffic Engineering, and Development Review. Mr. Galvez also serves on multiple technical advisory committees with Orange County Transportation Authority (OCTA) where he represents the City’s interests on a wide range of regional transportation issues. Mr. Galvez is also an authoring and board member of APWA’s Work Area Traffic Control Hand Book (W.A.T.C.H.), which is a highly regarded reference manual for work area traffic control. Mr. Galvez also serves as Adjunct Professor of Engineering for the University of California, Berkeley and the Rancho Santiago College District.

Mr. Hauerwaas, a graduate of the California Polytechnic University, Pomona brings over 23 years of dedicated administrative service to the community. His multifaceted role protects the community’s important environmental resources by ensuring regulatory compliance with state and federal environmental mandates towards controlling air and water pollution, sustainability, resource management, and energy efficiency.
Mr. Hauerwaas provides administrative program support to the Public Works Department including special projects, contract administration, state and federal grant administration, and providing technical assistance to the business community for regulatory compliance. Additional responsibilities include managing the waste franchise agreement with Rainbow Environmental Services, Hazardous Waste Disposal Coordinator, and preparation of reports, studies, community information and data management programs.
