These products and others are considered household hazardous waste and are not allowed in your regular trash. In fact, the law prohibits putting liquids or hazardous material, such as, motor oil, paint, solvents, and chemicals in your trash.

HOW TO DISPOSE OF THESE PRODUCTS?
The County of Orange provides FREE Household Hazardous Waste Collection Centers. The nearest location for Fountain Valley residents is at Rainbow Disposal, located at 17121 Nichols Street - Gate 6, Huntington Beach, CA 92647.

COLLECTION CENTERS ARE CLOSED THE FOLLOWING DAYS:
Rainy days, Christmas, Independence Day, Memorial Day, New Year's Day, Labor Day, and Thanksgiving.
HOUSEHOLD HAZARDOUS WASTE IS NOT ACCEPTED FROM:
Businesses, schools, governmental agencies, churches, or non-profit organizations.

DISPOSAL OF EXPIRED AND UNUSED MEDICATION
Most medicines used in a home are not considered hazardous waste. Although the Household Hazardous Waste Collection Center will accept medications, they can also be disposed of in the trash after being secured in durable packaging.
