Memorandums of Understanding
Memorandums of Understanding are agreements reached between the City and each of the various employee bargaining units in the City. There are also individual contracts negotiated for specific individually represented positions within the City. Memorandums of Understanding, or MOU's, outline the terms and conditions of employment for that particular bargaining unit. The MOU is negotiated for a specific length of time, which will be listed at the beginning of the document. Typically, when the end of an MOU contract is coming, the City negotiating team and the bargaining unit will meet in order to discuss negotiations for a new contract.
All original MOU's with signatures are on file in the City Clerk's Office and are available upon request.
