OC Sanitation District Announces PSA Video Contest for Local High School Students

Winning videos will receive a cash prize and will be used as public service announcements and education outreach materials throughout Orange County

WHAT: Video contest for students in grades 9-12 attending a high school within the OCSD service area. The contest is designed to challenge students to be creative and put together a video that educates people about the importance of wastewater treatment.

2012 video themes include:

What to Flush
A Day Without

(Limit to one entry per theme, per person/group)

Prizes: 1st place $1000
2nd place $750
3rd place $500
You Tube Viewers Choice Award $250

Winners will be announced in early June. Awards and prize money will be presented during the June 27, 2012 Board of Directors meeting.

WHEN: Videos are due by 5 p.m. on Friday, May 18, 2012.
