Fountain Valley, California Drug abuse continues to be a problem that impacts young and old alike. In an effort to address this issue, DEA, in conjunction with state and local law enforcement agencies throughout the United States conducts National Prescription Drug Take Back Days. The next one is scheduled for April 28, 2012, from 10:00 a.m. 2:00 p.m. The Fountain Valley Police Department, located at 10200 Slater Avenue, Fountain Valley, will serve as one of the collection points.

The purpose of this Take Back Day is to provide a venue for persons to anonymously dispose of unwanted and unused prescription drugs safely and, at the same time, remove potentially dangerous prescription medications, particularly controlled substances, from our nations medicine cabinets.
