On Saturday, April 7 the Fountain Valley Recreation and Community Services Department hosted the 2012 Easter Egg Hunt. The event was held from 8:30am-11:30am at the Fountain Valley Recreation Center and Sports Park. There was an overwhelming response by the community with over 5,500 people in attendance. Participants were able to play free carnival games, bounce around on a wide array of inflatable jumpers, enjoy amazing disc dog performances, watch skateboarding demonstrations, make fun free Easter crafts, and much more. In addition, the event hosted 18 sponsors, vendors, and class instructor booths which offered games and information to the public. A Pancake Breakfast provided by the Fountain Valley Kiwanis Club kicked off the event at 8:00am with all proceeds benefiting the Fountain Valley Kiwanis Scholarship Foundation. Egg Hunts ran continuously from 8:30-11:00am and thousands of children enjoyed searching for eggs in the two hunt areas. Even the Easter Bunny himself came out to take pictures with those who attended. A special thank you to our sponsors who helped make this event possible.
