New Mortgage Assistance Grant for Low Income Households
City Council has approved a new Mortgage Assistance Grant for Low-Income Fountain Valley households that are past due on their mortgage payments. $100,000 in assistance is available and will be dispersed on a first-come, first-serve basis. The grant covers up to six consecutive months of mortgage payments for a maximum of $7,500 for low- income, owner-occupied households meeting the eligibility requirements. The grant application is available for pick- up at City Hall or may be downloaded here.
Applications will be available beginning November 29, 2021
and must be submitted in-person
or by mail to City Hall, 10200 Slater Avenue
Applications must be submitted with all required documentation in order to be reviewed for eligibility.
The grant is funded by supplemental Community Development Block Grant funds provided through the CARES Act to fund activities that prevent, prepare for and respond to COVID-19.
