A permit is required for a burglary or robbery alarm, whether or not it is connected to an alarm monitoring company. The annual permit fee is $25. The City allows each address one free false alarm Police response per calendar year. Additional false alarm responses are billed at $110.00 each. If you do not have a burglar alarm permit the charge for each false alarm response is $110. F.V.M.C. Chapter 4.55
You may apply for an alarm permit by submitting a completed Burglar Alarm Permit Application and a $25 check made payable to “City of Fountain Valley”. Bring in your application and $25 check to the Fountain Valley Police Department located at 10200 Slater Ave, Fountain Valley, CA 92708. You may also mail your application and check to the Fountain Valley Police Department at P.O. Box 8030, Fountain Valley, CA 92728.
In order to obtain an Alarm Permit you will need to print out and complete the Burglar Alarm Permit Application.
Applications are also available at the FV Police Station, 10200 Slater Ave., Fountain Valley CA 92708.
