New Mayor and Mayor Pro Tem for 2020

At the December 3 City Council Meeting, City Council voted Cheryl Brothers to serve as Mayor and Michael Vo as Mayor Pro Tem. During the Mayor’s sworn in speech, Mayor Brothers stated she will keep the city moving forward on a level and keep improving as best we can. Mayor Brothers encourages the community to be involved in making a difference in Fountain Valley…IT’S FUN!

Annually, City Council re-organize and vote for a new Mayor and Mayor Pro Tem to provide leadership for the City Council the following year. The Mayor and Mayor Pro Tem will serve one-year capacity. The City Council re-organization occurs first Tuesday in December so this year it took place at the December 3 regular City Council Meeting.
