Bushard Street Bridge Now Open to Traffic

As of Monday, October 12, 2020, Bushard Street Bridge is open to traffic. Bushard Street Bridge and Talbert Avenue Bridge closed in September 2019 for demolition and reconstruction. Bushard Street Bridge is the second bridge to open in the City of Fountain Valley. Slater Avenue Bridge was the first bridge to open in 2019. Talbert Avenue Bridge will be the next bridge to be completed and opened to traffic in late spring of 2021. Currently, preparations have begun to demolish half of Brookhurst Street Bridge over the next few weeks. Brookhurst Street traffic has shifted to one side. However, the bridge will remain open with two lanes in each direction during construction.
