Fountain Valley's Ed Arnold has been named Grand Marshal of the City of Fountain Valley's 60th
Anniversary Community parade on Saturday, June 24. You may remember Ed as a veteran sports and news anchor in television/radio for 40 years.
Ed Arnold gives much of his time to many charitable organizations. He was one of the founders of the Fountain Valley Rotary Club and has volunteered for many years at the local Boys and Girls Club. Ed was a founder of the California Special Olympics and remains active with that group. He also served five terms as president of the Southern California Cystic Fibrosis Foundation, seven terms as president of the Orange County Multiple Sclerosis Society and served on the March of Dimes board of directors for more than 35 years.
Ed's wife, Dr. Dixie Arnold, is Chair of the Liberal Studies Department at Vanguard University. They have lived in Fountain Valley for over 50 years. Their son, Dean, daughter-in-law, Rachel, and grandsons, Jacob and Luke, also reside in Fountain Valley.
Ed Arnold is the perfect symbol of Fountain Valley's spirit, volunteerism and sense of community. We are proud to have him as the Grand Marshal
