Talbert Bridge Scheduled to Reopen the Week of April 12, 2021

The I-405 Improvement Project is expected to reopen Talbert Avenue Bridge the week of April 12 to vehicle and pedestrian traffic. The new bridge will have 2 additional travel lanes and bike lanes in each direction. Work continues this week in the Talbert/Brookhurst/Ward intersections in preparation for the bridge opening. Surrounding work will be ongoing for landscaping after the bridge is open.

Shortly following the opening of Talbert Avenue Bridge, Warner Avenue and Ward Street Bridges will be closed to vehicle and pedestrian traffic in preparation for demolition and reconstruction. Currently crews have been clearing the trees and groundcover near Ward Street and Warner Avenue in preparation for the demolition.
