At the January 17, 2017, City Council Study Session, staff presented that the next steps for Measure HH – Essential City Services. City staff anticipates City Council will approve the oversight committee structure and related policies at the February 21 City Council Meeting. The oversight committee will review audited financial statements, the mid-year financial report, the proposed general fund operating budget from a policy perspective, and ensure compliance with Responsible Spending Pledge. The oversight committee will consist of five members with three year appointments: one active senior resident, one business owner/resident, one resident voted who “no” on Measure HH, one resident who voted “yes” on Measure HH, one at-large member, and one alternate. Important dates to keep in mind if you are interested in serving on the committee are:
- February 22 through March 10, 2017: Open application period
- March 13 through March 17, 2017: Applicant interviews
- March 21, 2017: Recommendation and selection of members by City Council
