Serious Traffic Collision in Fountain Valley


On Tuesday, July 30, 2019, at approximately 11:45 PM, the Fountain Valley Police Department responded to a traffic collision on Harbor Boulevard, south of Lilac Avenue, in the southbound lanes of traffic.

An unidentified male, adult, pedestrian was initially struck by a two-door sedan and subsequently struck a second time by another vehicle. The unidentified pedestrian was transported to an area hospital for emergency medical treatment. The adult driver and passenger of the sedan remained on scene and cooperated with the police investigation. DUI is not suspected to be a factor in the initial collision.

The second vehicle did not remain on scene, but was described by witnesses as being a white, short-bed, pickup truck, with a dark colored utility cabinet in the bed. The driver may have been a male adult with a mustache.

FVPD investigators are encouraging the driver of the pickup or anyone with information about the collision to contact FVPD Traffic Bureau 714-593-4481.
