PD Badge

On February 22, 2020 FVPD Detectives investigated a report of a female high school student having sexual relations with an adult male.

The investigation revealed the suspect is Ohad Kyle Benabou, 26, of Westminster. Benabou is a sex registrant for a previous indecent exposure conviction and he is currently on formal Orange County probation. He contacted a 15-year-old female victim in an online chat room, where he posed as an 18-year-old who attended a local high school. The victim identified herself as a 15-year-old female. Benabou initiated a sexual conversation with her and arranged to meet with the female on several occasions for sexual encounters.

With the assistance of Orange County Probation Officers, Fountain Valley Police Detectives tracked Benabou to Long Beach and arrested him on multiple charges, including sex with a minor and lewd and lascivious acts with a child. Benabou was booked into Orange County jail with bail set at $265,000. Incident 20-07083.
