Fountain Valley, CA – On Tuesday, March 18 at 1:00 p.m., the City of Fountain Valley activated the Emergency Operations Center (EOC) to closely monitor the COVID-19 situation. This will facilitate communication within the City and local EOC in the region.

Residents are encouraged to follow recommendations from California Department of Public Health including employing proper handwashing techniques, staying at home when sick, practicing social distancing of at least 6 feet and if possible, avoid contact with others who are sick. If residents feel sick, they are urged to call their doctor to report any symptoms and to self-isolate for two weeks. Residents are also requested to self-isolate when returning from travel to high-risk areas.
