[ARCHIVED] Fatal Traffic Collision

On Sunday, November 26, 2017, at 11:18 P.M., the Fountain Valley Police Department responded to a possible vehicle fire in the area of Euclid Street and the 405 Freeway. When Officers arrived, they discovered a single vehicle had collided head-on into a tree. The driver, a male Asian, was pronounced deceased at the scene. The front passenger, a male Asian, suffered serious injuries. He was transported to a local hospital for medical treatment. Personnel from the Coroner’s office responded to the scene to conduct their investigation. The names of the driver and passenger are not being released pending notification of the deceased’s next of kin. Speed may have been a factor in the collision but it is unknown whether alcohol or drugs were additional factors. An investigation is ongoing at this time.
